"Risen" is a novel that I originally wrote a few years ago but shelved, because any time I wanted to rewrite it, I got stuck on what the characters were supposed to do, especially the villain. So a reboot to the chronology, setting, time period, and villain have all collaborated to convince me to start completely from scratch.
